Fathom + InkDraft: call recording to proposal

Connect Fathom to InkDraft and turn call recordings into traced proposals. Fathom records and transcribes the call. InkDraft extracts the commercial terms, calculates pricing with deterministic arithmetic, and carries the same terms through contract, e-signature, and payment. One connection replaces the manual re-entry between recording and proposal.

Direct answer

InkDraft integrates with Fathom via OAuth to import call transcripts directly. It extracts scope, rates, deliverables, timeline, and payment terms from the transcript, links each term to the call segment where it was discussed, and calculates all totals with deterministic integer arithmetic. The same terms carry through contract, e-signature, and payment.

Best for

  • Fathom users who write proposals after sales calls
  • Teams that want call-to-proposal automation without manual re-entry
  • Service businesses using Fathom for sales calls and needing traced proposals

How does the Fathom integration work?

  1. Record with Fathom. Run your sales call, discovery call, or client meeting with Fathom recording. Fathom transcribes the conversation and generates its AI summary.
  2. Import via OAuth. In InkDraft, connect your Fathom account once. Your recent calls appear for import. Select the call and InkDraft reads the full transcript.
  3. Review extracted terms. InkDraft identifies scope, rates, deliverables, timeline, payment terms, and exclusions. Each term includes an evidence quote from the call. All totals are calculated with integer arithmetic.
  4. Send the proposal. The proposal carries the traced terms through client review, contract handoff, e-signature, and Stripe payment. No re-entry at any step.

What does Fathom do vs what does InkDraft do?

Fathom handles

  • Call recording and transcription
  • AI call summaries and action items
  • CRM integration (HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Call highlights and clips

InkDraft handles

  • Commercial term extraction with source evidence
  • Deterministic pricing (code, not AI estimation)
  • Proposal generation with traced terms
  • Contract handoff with the same terms
  • Client review and e-signature
  • Stripe payment collection

Why use Fathom with InkDraft instead of writing proposals manually?

Without the integration, Fathom records the call and generates a summary. You then re-watch parts of the recording, open a separate document, type scope and pricing from memory, calculate totals in a spreadsheet, and send. The contract, signature, and invoice each require their own round of re-entry in separate tools.

With the integration, InkDraft imports the Fathom transcript, extracts the terms that were agreed, and builds the proposal directly. The same terms carry through to the contract, e-signature, and payment. The manual process between recording and proposal disappears.

FAQ

How does InkDraft connect to Fathom?

InkDraft connects to Fathom via OAuth. After authorizing the connection, your Fathom call recordings and transcripts are available to import directly into InkDraft. No manual copy-paste or file export required.

What happens to my Fathom transcript after import?

InkDraft reads the transcript and extracts commercial terms: scope, rates, deliverables, timeline, and payment terms. Each term links back to the segment of the call where it was discussed. The original transcript stays in Fathom. InkDraft does not modify your Fathom data.

Can I use InkDraft without Fathom?

Yes. InkDraft accepts transcripts from any source: Zoom, Fireflies, or pasted text. The Fathom OAuth integration makes import faster, but it is not required.

Does Fathom generate proposals?

Fathom records calls, generates AI summaries, and creates action items. It does not generate traced proposals with deterministic pricing, contracts, signatures, or payment collection. InkDraft picks up where Fathom's transcript ends.

What does the Fathom to InkDraft workflow look like?

Record your sales call with Fathom. Import the transcript into InkDraft via OAuth. InkDraft extracts the agreed terms, builds a proposal with deterministic pricing, and carries the same terms through contract, e-signature, and payment. One workflow from call to cash.

Is the Fathom integration free?

The Fathom integration is included on all InkDraft plans. Fathom has its own free and paid plans for call recording.

What other meeting recorders does InkDraft support?

InkDraft connects to Fathom via OAuth for direct import. It also accepts pasted transcripts from Zoom, Fireflies, Otter.ai, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and any other source that exports text.
