2. Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies and similar technologies where they are necessary for the service to work or to store preferences you choose or that are detected from your device settings (such as light or dark mode). With your permission, we also use privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics on public marketing pages. We do not use advertising cookies.

Analytics and Advertising Cookies
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you select "Allow" in the consent banner, we use Vercel Web Analytics on public marketing pages. It is cookieless and aggregated, does not use persistent identifiers stored on your device, and does not track you across websites. It measures page views, referral sources, country and device categories, and a small set of marketing actions such as pricing or template-button clicks. We do not send names, email addresses, account IDs, or document IDs in analytics events.
Analytics is not active inside the authenticated InkDraft application or on shared document links.
Similar technologies (browser storage)
We use your browser's local storage for first-party functional purposes only: your display preference, sidebar and editor layout state, and short-lived editor caches. Session storage (cleared when you close the tab) holds tab-scoped editor state.
When browser error monitoring is enabled, our error-monitoring tool (Sentry) may keep a session marker in session storage together with a local, fully masked recording buffer. Sentry also receives service diagnostics such as sampled performance information. Session replay is used only for error diagnostics: if an error occurs, a masked diagnostic replay of the affected session may be sent to Sentry. This is used for stability and security, not for analytics, advertising, or marketing tracking.
Shared document pages load a small first-party image when the document is first opened so the sender can see that it was viewed. It stores nothing on your device; see our Privacy Policy for how view logs are anonymized.
4. How can I control cookies?
You can allow or decline optional website analytics through the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" in the website footer. Essential cookies are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled inside InkDraft. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect account login and other core features.
